When does the Year of Knowledge program launch?

The Year of Knowledge program launches on Sunday, September 12, 2021, at 8 am CT.

How do I sign up?

Do I have to sign up for the whole program, or can I sign up for individual courses?

We highly encourage the students to register for the program full time to attain the maximum benefit. However, signing up for the individual courses is available here.

Is this program for women only?

Yes, this program is for women only.

Can I sign up if I am younger than 15?

The program is designed for 15 year and older. Jannah institute offers different youth classes for girls younger than 15. Check our website https://www.jannahinstitute.com.

Do you offer a family discount for the members of the same household?

We do offer a family discount. For further details, please contact us at financejannahinstitute@gmail.com.

What kind of student is Jannah Institute looking for?

This program is tailored for students who want to learn about Islam in a comfortable way, practice it in their daily lives, and deepen their Islamic knowledge.

How will I know if I have or have not been accepted?

You will receive a welcome email from Jannah institute admin team which confirms that you have/have not been accepted to the program.

How will Jannah institute notify me?

We will email you. Please save yearofknowledge@jannahinstitute.org in your Contacts List so that our emails do not go to your Spam Folder.

Will I be refunded in full if I am not accepted?

Students who have not been accepted will be fully refunded.

I was not accepted on the Year of Knowledge program. What can I do now?

Don’t worry, there are plenty other courses at Jannah institute that you can attend. Check our website www.jannahinstitute.com for more information.

Can I work and attend the program?

Yes, in sha Allah! The classes will be recorded and the students will have access to the recordings even if they cannot attend live classes.

What do I need to attend the Year of Knowledge program?

You will need a laptop or computer with a strong Internet connection to attend the live classes, as well as to receive monthly assignments from the Teacher Assistants.

Is this program available for international students?

All of the courses at Jannah institute are available for international students. Class timings are in Central Standard Time (CST).

Payment and Financial Assistance

What is the cost of the Year of Knowledge Program?

The registration fee is $2699 ($6.90/hour!) Register as soon as possible to get an early registration discount!

What are the fees for the individual courses?

Individual courses cost $699 per course. Register as soon as possible to get an early registration discount!

Can I pay monthly?

Full payment is expected at the time of registration. For individual queries, please contact financejannahinstitute@gmail.com.

What is your refund policy if I’m not able to complete the program?

Full refunds are issued if requests are made up to one week before classes start. A 25% refund is issued after one week of start date. Course tuition is non-refundable after one week of start date. Please see JI Policies and Procedures for more details.

Will scholarships and financial assistance be available?

Scholarship program for the Year of Knowledge program is full. Please email financejannahinstitute@gmail.com for other payment options.

Class Information

What is the style of teaching?

The classes will be presented in a lecture-style presentation. Classes will be held twice a week. See more in the weekly program schedule.

Will there be other teachers?

The whole program will be taught by Dr. Haifaa Younis with a highly qualified Teacher Assistant for each class.

What’s the class size?

Each class will have a maximum of 45 students.

Will there be an opportunity to ask questions?

Yes, in sha Allah! There will be time for questions during the live sessions, but also during a 1-hour additional Q&A session once a week with Dr Haifaa. There is also a Teaching Assistant for each class that can help you with your questions.

Are there homework activities and assignments?

Yes, there will be homework on a regular basis and 2-3 assignments per semester.

Will the sessions be recorded and, if so, how long will I have access to the recordings?

Yes, the sessions are going to be recorded and the recordings will be available for the whole duration of the program, in sha Allah.

Can I share the class recordings with other female members in the family?

All the materials are for registered students only. They cannot be shared with anyone else. This is amanah (trust) and we require our students to adhere to it.

Where will the classes be hosted?

They will run via Zoom, in sha Allah.

What if I can’t attend live sessions?

Do not worry, we have you covered. You can watch the recorded sessions, as the recordings will be available for the whole duration of the program, in sha Allah.

How many classes will I have daily?

Depending on the day, you will have 2 to 3 classes per day.

Will there be days off?

Yes, in sha Allah!
The students will have 4 days of classes per week and 3 days of no classes weekly.
We will not have classes on Islamic holidays (Ramadan, Eid al-Adha, Eid al-Fitr, first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah).
US national holidays will also be observed, and the students will have a winter, spring and summer break as well.

How do students communicate with teachers and classmates outside of class?

There will be a WhatsApp group for each of the courses of the Year of Knowledge program. The invitation to join the WhatsApp group will be emailed to the students a week before the start of the program.

Where can I find the books for the classes?

Students will receive all information about the course and the classes including the books after registration.

Do I get a certificate after completing this program?

Yes, in sha Allah! Each student that attends the classes regularly and passes the final exam at the end of the program, will receive a certificate for completing the Year of Knowledge program!
