Have you ever wanted to learn about Islam in a convenient, comprehensive, and comfortable way so that you can practice your religion in your daily life? Have you wanted to deepen your Islamic knowledge or even prepare yourself to become a teacher or a scholar?

Jannah Institute is proud to present a new and one-of-a-kind one year program for women, taught by Dr. Haifaa Younis.

PROGRAM IS FULL ..

What will I learn if I sign up for this program?

Students who join us on this journey will learn about five fundamental disciplines in Islam:

Islamic Creed (Aqeeda)

During this course, students will study Islamic beliefs in detail. The course will cover the six basic principles of iman (belief) in detail, as well as how our beliefs affect and improve our everyday lives. The special benefit of this class is that students will learn how to improve their awareness of Allah and strengthen their connection to Him through learning the practical implications of believing in Him through His Divine names. The course will be based on the book “Aqeeda al-Tahawiyya” by Imam al-Tahawi.

Qur’an Studies

Students will connect with and dive deeper into the book of Allah (SWT): how it was revealed, how it is organized, the division of the Qur’an based on the place and time of revelation, the abrogation in the Qur’an, the miracles of the Qur’an, the etiquette of reciting and understanding the Qur’an, and many more topics, with a focus on how they can apply its guidance to their daily lives. The textbook we will be using is by Imam As-Suyuti, The Perfect Guide to the Sciences of the Qur’an (Al-Itqan fi ‘Ulumi-l-Qur’an).

Hadith Studies

Students will understand the words, instruction, and wisdom of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ), and how to beautify and empower themselves by following his Sunnah. The students will learn about the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) through learning about his sayings, recommendations and the way he lived his everyday life. The course will be based on the classical book, A Collection of Knowledge & Wisdom (Jami’ al-Ulum wal-Hikam), by Imam Ibn Rajab.

Islamic Law (Fiqh)

Students will learn their obligations and duties towards Allah and towards their families by studying legal rulings related to worship, such as the purification, the prayers, the fasting, giving zakah and doing hajj and ‘umrah, as well as rulings and regulations regarding family law. They will study the four schools of thought (madhhabs) and learn how to apply these teachings in the world today, based on the textbook by Sayyid Sabiq, “Fiqh us-Sunnah”.

Purification of the Heart (Tazkiyah)

Students will work to understand and reflect on their own hearts, and how to keep their hearts pure and close to Allah. This course will be a type of a one of a kind trip to self discovery, and a start of a divine journey towards Allah, SWT. Students will also learn how to distance themselves from lower vices and bad character which blocks their ways and paths to Allah’s mercy and forgiveness. The course will be based on the book by Imam Ibn al-Qayyim, Ranks of the Divine Seekers (Madarij al-Salikeen).
