A Journey with Quranic Arabic


Course Description:

We will be studying the Foundational Principles of the language of the Quran. Students will build a solid grammar foundation, beginning with the different kinds of words in Arabic. At the end of this course, students will be able to conduct grammatical analysis of complex sentence structures in Arabic, applying their Arabic knowledge to a selected passage from the Quran to discuss the translation and grammatical nuances of the verses.

Course Time: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday (11am-12:30pm) and Thursday (11am-11:45am)
Course Duration: 12 weeks
Pre-Requisites: Students should be able to read the Quran comfortably and write in Arabic. Understanding the meaning of the Quran is not necessary.

Class Timings:

Course Materials:

The course textbook, workbook, and other study materials will be emailed to registered students. Students should also have a Quran and translation available for their personal use.

Class Recordings:

Recordings of classes will be made available to all registered students at the end of each class and students will have access for 6 months, following the last day of the class.

Student Expectations:

Students are highly encouraged to attend classes live, however we understand that sometimes, circumstances do not permit this. If you need to miss a class or will be mostly watching class recordings, please let your teacher know beforehand. Students who miss class should watch the class recording, read textbook notes, and try to complete the homework that is assigned.

Technical Requirements:

Classes will be held on Google Classroom. More details will be sent after registration.

Headphones and a microphone (using an internal/built-in microphone from your device)
