This course will focus on improving the correct recitation of the Quran, studying Surah al-Fatiha, Ikhlaas, Falaq and Naas. Students will be given the opportunity to recite a portion of the surah every lesson under the guidance of their teacher, who will give corrections and advice on the rules to apply. This is essential learning for all students. Surah al-Fatihah, also known as the ‘Mother of the Quran’, is recited at least 17 times each day in our daily prayers. Surah al-Falaq and an-Naas, known as the Mu’awwidatayn, are essential for our protection from all things seen and unseen. Our Ramadhan tahseen tilawah program aims to refresh and refine reading based on fundamental recitation theory to enable students to fluently and confidently read the Quran. This program is designed for students who are already able to recognise and read passages from the Qur’an, and require further training in its correct recitation. Overall, the program aims to train students to recite from any page of the Quran, inshaAllah. Students will be encouraged to learn the meaning of the words shared by the teacher, but this class does not focus on the explanation of the verses. There is a maximum of nine students per class and classes are conducted on Zoom. Further information will follow after registration.
