A Journey with Quranic Arabic – Sarf Part 1
Course Description:
This is an intermediate level course specifically looking at the morphology of Arabic words, also known as Sarf. This course will aim to explain the root letters of words, and the patterns they can be found in to conjugate and derive meaning. Previous knowledge of the basic grammar of Arabic words will be revised.
Important Prerequisites:
– A basic understanding of the difference between ism and fi’l
– Familiarity with pronouns (هو هما هم)
– Basic conjugation of past and present tense verbs
New students who have not attended a previous Arabic Course with Jannah Institute are welcome to attend, based on fulfilling the prerequisites mentioned above. The sessions will be conducted via Zoom and Google Classroom. Students will be able to engage with the teacher and students beyond the lesson within Google Classroom. Weekly notes, homework and recordings of the class will be available. Further information will be provided after registration.
